Afinia Label Printers
Afinia Label Printers
OptiMedia Labs sells three different Afinia printers; each specialized for a different purpose. Have a look at the specifications and capabilities of each one before choosing the printer that's right for you:
The Afinia L801 Memjet label printer is among the industries finest, capable of printing up to 60 feet of labels per minute at a resolution of 1600 dots per inch. The L801is a web-fed industrial inkjet printer, making it the ideal solution for full color short-run or mid-run label printing. The printer has five individual ink tanks in cyan, magenta, and yellow, plus two black tanks—collectively they hold 1.25 liters of ink, greatly decreasing the frequency of cartridge replacement. BarTender Basic label and barcode design software comes bundled with the printer, making it very easy to get started. The Afinia L801 label printer has the lowest label production cost for an inkjet based printer and extremely cheaper versus laser printers.
The Afinia R635 Digital Press is a laser printer, designed for mid-sized and industrial use. It prints 30 feet per minute at an resolution of 1200 dots per inch in one direction and 600 dpi in the other, using single-pass 4 color LED printing technology. The R635 comes with toners rated at 11,000 pages—you could run the printer 24 hours a day for an entire work week and still have toner left over. The label printer features a 40 gigabyte internal hard drive and 512 megabytes of RAM (optionally expanded to 768 MB), allowing it to handle even the most graphic intensive label jobs you throw at it.
The Afinia H-Series 3D Printer is in a class of its own—whether inkjet or laser based, label printers tend to do roughly the same thing, but 3D printing exists in an entirely different realm. The printer uses inexpensive ABS plastic filament to fabricate any small object you desire. Whatever you design with the included PC and Mac compatible 3D software, the Afinia 3D printer can create. Whether it's game pieces, part prototypes, or anything else, the printer can generate it, as long as your object has dimensions less than 5 inches square. The printer is accurate to 15mm or 6 thousandths of an inch, and the plastic output is rated at fully 30% the strength of injection molding. And at only 11 lbs, the printer is easy to set up in your home, office or workshop. Plastic filament is available in a range of colors including blue, green, black, red and yellow.
